Eula "Dean" Lee, 79, of Donaldson, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 in a local Malvern hospital. She was born September 24, 1929 in Cherry Hill, Arkansas to Elihu Ford and Alta Martin Ford. She attended the Sardis Primitive Church of Donaldson, Arkansas. This wonderful lady was a shining example to us all. We will cherish and honor all the times we were privileged to spend with her. She was a lady of unquestionable character and an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends and neighbors. Eula was valiant both in her living and dying. She lived a life of quiet courage with an uncommon ability to fully experience the joys of life while enduring its unexpected trials without complaint. Her thoughts were always of others, never of herself. Her home was a warm, inviting reflection of her devotion to family. Her remarkable bravery both in her life and death stands as a testament to the richness of her spirit and character. She was an inspiration. She will be missed She is survived by: Her husband of 61 years: Reuben Lee of Donaldson, Arkansas 1 Son: Ronnie Lee and his wife Laurie of Riverside, California 2 Daughters: Brenda Briggs and her husband Glen of Bismarck, Arkansas Pam Sandage and her husband Richard of Donaldson, Arkansas 1 Brother: Elihu Ford and his wife Mary of Crescent City, California 1 Sister: Maxine Pietz of Crescent, California 1 Sister-in-law: Mickey Ford of Buena Park, California 7 Grandchildren: Tracy Campbell and her husband John, Chris Briggs, Michael Lee, Chad Lee, Wendy Lee, Cynthia Morrison, Austin Sandage and his wife Crystal 13 Great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-Norman Ford, a sister-Alma Welch, Grandaughter-Jenna Lee, Great-grandchildren-Payton Campbell, Payge Campbell, Jaydon Campbell. Graveside services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2009 in Ouachita Cemetery with Elder Jesse Stripland officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Austin Sandage, Chris Briggs, Tim Rucker, Aaron Campbell, John Campbell and Hunter Briggs. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Burton and his staff, Hot Spring County Hospital Step-down Unit, Hot Spring County Home Health and Kristen Schultz of UAMS. Thank you for the tender loving care, all your kindness and for making her final journey here a pleasant one. We are eternally grateful. Arrangements are under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Malvern, Arkansas.
